Works great, hardest pet is removing the gas cylinder from the old mechanism. Definitely is more heavy duty than my old one. Better to fix the chair than buy a new one. Thanks

the thicker Guage metal should do the trick.

Works as advertised and easy to install

It fits my old chair perfectly. It is very heavy and well made. Be sure to replace the piston lift with a very heavy duty one too while you're at it because it will surely break down soon, and it's so hard to separate the old piston out after you've sat on it for years.
