Mirra Chair
Posted by Unknown on 26th Oct 2019
Firstly, the sellers were helpful, responding to website messages and a couple of phone calls. The most important step is to find video specific to the Mirra chair. This does remove and install the way most online videos have you believe. You must remove the seat from the Mirra to have access to the cable that operates the cylinder.
I have two Mirra's, The first chair took me the several hours, inflicting minor damage to the chair. The second one I finished in about an hour.
This is the YouTube video that helped me the most.

These cable actuated cylinders are not as common as top button types. Pricing at echair parts was the best I found. I appreciate the helpful assistance when contacting the seller.

No more sinking

Fixed my ~8 year old expensive Steelcase Think chair for about 45 bucks and a little time. Replacement was easy once I figured out how to remove the old cylinder. Hint: large box end wrench and dead blow hammer. Chair is like new again.
Highly recommended.

Does not work with Steelcase Think Chair
Posted by James Dougal on 12th Jan 2019
This cylinder does not fit into the wheel base - original cylinder has 3.5" narrow section that fits into wheel base, this part's narrow section is only 1.5", so it doesn't work - need to get a replacement that does fit.

Exactly the part I needed

It was exactly the part I needed, just very tricky to install -- the cable pull one are much trickier than the regular "push button" ones. If I didn't love that chair so much I wouldn't have bothered :)
I only put 4 stars as it's only been in use a couple weeks, the extra star will come if it lasts...
